Peppermint has been known to mankind since ancient times. The ancient Greek scientist Pliny the Elder wrote in “Natural History” that the aroma of peppermint enhances the activity of the brain and gives sharpness and alertness to the mind. For this reason, Roman students wore wreaths of mint twigs during class. Ancient Chinese healers used peppermint oil for gout and neuralgia, rubbing the diseased part of the body, which relieves pain. In Japan, peppermint oil was an ancient remedy for migraines.Peppermint essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the entire aboveground part of the Mentha Piperita plant. Peppermint oil contains up to 45% menthol and up to 32% menthone, which is why it has a pleasant refreshing smell and mild long-lasting slightly pungent taste.

Methods of use for food purposes: 1 or 2 drops per lump of sugar (teaspoon of honey) or dissolved in 100-150 ml water.

For culinary purposes: 1 drop to your favourite smoothies, shakes, cocktails, liqueurs, candies, desserts and other dishes.

Storage conditions: in a dark and cool place, protected from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and tightly closed!

Contraindicated for pregnant women, nursing mothers, hay fever, epilepsy, children under 6 years, persons with individual intolerance to peppermint oil. Do not use during homeopathic treatment.

Attention! Highly concentrated! Perform a sensitivity test before use! In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water!
